Ranger Mods

My understanding is that the smart alternator can be disabled on 3.2l models, but not on 2.0l models. I have a 2.0l 2020 Wildtrak and was told it couldn't be done.....however, by switching the lights on (ie putting them to on, not on auto), that overrides the "smart" alternator and gets it...
