Thanks for this. Everything I read mentions I need an ELM327 with HS & MS CAN switch. The Dongle you suggested does not have this switch. Is there a difference?
Does this Dongle plug into my trucks OBD2 connector/jack, or do I need to purchase one?

The dongle from here will do and let you see everything you need. It plugs directly into the OBD port.

As per Gerry, adaptor will automatically choose the bus required. No manually switch necessary.
