G'day. Needing transmission temp PIDs

Hi. I joined the group in July, last year. I bought my new 21.25 Everest BaseCamp in April, did a 10,000km half lap with our van in tow.
I bought an OBD2 Scan tool and the TorquePro App, to monitor transmission temperatures, while towing, but was unsuccessful in making it all work (despite activating the pre-installed Ford PIDs).
After we returned home, I joined this group to find the relevant PIDs for transmission Temperatures and Torque Converter Temperatures. Again, unsuccessful.
I didn't realise that I had to post a topic, before having access to this great group.

Hopefully, someone can help me get sorted, before we hook up the van, again. The Everest has the 3.2 litre motor.

Cheers

Travers

Hi Travers.
Exactly which scan tool did you buy?
Some of the cheaper ones are great to use as a paper weight because they don't read all the modules

I tried to attach a photo of the OBD2 tool, but was unsuccessful!
It's the OBD2 Aus Bluetooth Scan Tool (https://obd2australia.com.au/product/ob ... scan-tool/)
The OBD2 tool connects to the car and my phone OK. In TorquePro, I've activated the Ford (inc. Powerstroke) pre-set PIDs, but I still can't get the transmission temperature to show on a 'new display'.
OBD2 Australia do sell a "Forscan Bluetooth Android – OBD2 Scan Tool". Not sure if that's a better option.

Your issue is that particular one doesn't read all modules.
Another type from the same seller would probably have the same issue
Quite a few have had the same problem and the seller won't refund
This works great with the OBDlink app and will work with Torque Pro
