Hi All

New hear I found the site while looking through facebook for forscan solutions. Read this was the place to come and browse.

Planning to give it a crack myself I want to start off by disabling smart charge as its causing my crank battery to have issues as I think the dc2dc charger is hogging all the charge.

I'm also interested in the DPF status not sure if it's available for my model as the dash is the simple version and only has the one small screen.

Cheers!

Hi
You will need a laptop running Windows, download a copy of Forscan then apply for free 2 month licence. Without a licensed copy you can't access all modules
You will need a dongle to connect to the laptop and OBD port
The dongle from this suite will work wp/product/forscan-usb-dongle-windows-10-support/
With this you can enable dual battery and much more

To monitor you will need an Ultragauge, Scanguage or OBDlink.
Custom PID info is available on this site.

Thanks for your response. I have already purchased the cable hopefully it’ll be here in a few days.

I have a cheap wifi adapter I bought a while back that I use on most my cars to check codes but I wouldn’t be game to try programming with it.

I use an iPhone so I’m looking for a nice app to use for gauges. I was using FORScan lite but it doesn’t have a glossy look to it that I want for viewing.

I use the OBDLink app to monitor with a Samsung Galaxy Android phone.
Not sure if it works with iphone
I know that the OBDlink MX + is the only Bluetooth unit to work with both Android & ios

@Rosspat

Do you have somewhere that you recommend to buy these from? I’m having a look around and not sure what is a trusted seller anymore and seeing as they are close to $200 I don’t want to be wasting money.

Thanks

Amazon Australia sell them for $195
Direct from OBDlink USA would be about $240 with freight
