Just playing with the editor here, but these Scangauge codes (thanks to SAEB) will display the various tyre pressures via the oem wheel sensors.

Anyone know how frequently the pressure is transmitted from the wheel? I'm wondering if they could be used to establish current pressure whilst inflating/deflating tyres?

I do the same thing using OBDLink, pic at the bottom.

I deflated/inflated a tyre in the shed while watching the gauge, then I realised it won't work.
The sensors need to be moving.

Thank you for that, you've saved me a lot of time and disappointment as I would have only found that out at the end!

Ultragauge shows changes as you inflate or deflate without moving, but they are slow and it is just more convenient to use the gauge you will be using anyway.

Sensors just need to be woken. Quick trip around the block should do it although they will not be completely cold then. They will go back to sleep after approx. 10 min.

Maybe a little off topic....
But can you run extra sensor, say in a trailer (camper) that would hookup to the current system? Would be good to monitor them as sometimes it hard to know if the tyres have gone down till its to late

Here

You will need to disable when trailer is not connected so it is no ideal unless you are towing long term.
