Method
Car running, insert USB - error code comes up after about 5 seconds.
Have tried a 32gb card and an 8, also ensured the car was not connected to any devices via Bluetooth. Any help past this point would be appreciated!

LST_ERR05 LST_PKG_FILE_NOT_FOUND File specified by 'Open' entry in autoinstall.lst not found

So at a guess you have an error inside the autoinstall.lst file. Open it with notpad and show.

Will this process also apply/work on a 2019 Everest running sync 3.3?

Anyone fix the climate controls on an XLT with no NAV ? Others are reporting when they use the provided file it has Nav and some other issues . Sorry if I missed a post

We do not have Sirius/XM in Australia so cannot help you with that.

Not sure if a newer logo calibration file has been released as I have never had a reason to install the original.

Anyone have any issues with Android auto not working after the update? Did mine today and it won't recognise my phone when plugged in.

Do a master reset of the Sync3 and try again. Have done a ton of them and never had an issue.

Quick question apart from the visual differences is there any significant difference or new features between Sync 3.3 v.s 3.4, I use apple car play.

Hi, so my truck was sync 3.0 then the wifi update changed it to 3.2. Can I update to 3.4 or not?? Thanks

Sync 3.0 and 3.2 use different hardware. It has never been possible ever on any unit in the world so that is odd.

3.2 can be updated to 3.4 so by all means try it.

I did the sync 3.0.20092 to 3.4.20196 (I think that was it) update this evening. Went well and everything working. Had a nav error and general settings took ages to become available so I could do a Master reset. Put car into accessories and it seemed to fix it all and Nav worked. Haven't updated the APIM firmware yet to allow radio logos or calm screen yet as you seem to say your dongle isn't up to the task Stewie?

I do prefer the updated interface of 3.3/3.4. And if anything it functions quicker than 3.0 did.

Radio Logos are not supported here so no point installing that one.

Using Forscan itself for upgrading the Sync3 is a risk you take. Adaptor is capable, but when testing many months ago I killed a couple of units is all. You shouldn't have issue, I just want you to be aware that risks exist.

One thing that doesnt work is the distance and time remaining in the left dash console when using android auto for navigation. The street names and distances until a turn has to be made work fine though.

Never has and probably never will, they majority works so that is a bonus.

Appears the nand has to many bad sectors. It will not be repairable. I do have replacement boards but will need the Sync 3 removed and sent to me for repair.

I keep on getting an on screen instruction INSTL - ERR11 and to re-install the downloads and try to re-install.

I've now done this 12 times and not got any further any ideas as to why ? and instruction to phone 610-386-133673

Thanks for that insight Ross, I'll buy a brand new thumb drive and try downloading it using FAT32 instead of exFAT to see if that makes any difference, as it is I'm really only interested in the map updates so really its nothing lost.

Can you please detail what this means "Android Auto will display directions in the right hand cluster navigation area with 3.4, Carplay will not"? I mean in comparison with 3.3 in what Carplay is concerned. Also I've been reading reports that the update loses some climate control buttons that need to be activated later on with Forscan. Is this correct?

For my car, Ford's website tells that I have a map update ready, but that the Sync3 is uptodate (which I did myself). It does not look like I will be getting the 3.4 anytime soon. Of course there are important questions: normally after an update, you push back to Ford an update log so they know what is the current version on your truck, I guess this might not work anymore since Ford would qualify the update to 3.4 as an unofficial mod. Secondly, should I update the maps before the update to 3.4? Maps updates is something I do not want to lose.

My dealer updates my Sync via a flash drive at service time so Ford records created when you download and update via the internet have no bearing for me.
I am on(Cyan) Sync V3.4.2451 and Map version 1.19
No issues other than I get a camera warning on some corners that don't have a camera.
I can update the Sync 3 software only and leave my current maps.
There is an another update available now for Sync 3.4
