If it was me I wouldn't even try with $12 sensors. You would buying such an inferior product, who knows how long it would last also there will be more factors involved an its highly unlikely that the resistance would be correct and that the depth or view would match with what the Ranger is set for.

Keep a check on eBay or check with some after market bull bar brands as not all brands use the genuine harness and sensors, I'm unsure of what brand do not but ARB uses the factory items. Get in touch with a dealer/fitter that uses the aftermarket sensors as they probably have a box of the originals.

hey Stewart found the plug on my MY16 XLS. do you need to use the genuine wiring loom and genuine sensors, or can i just wire up some ebay senors to the loom?

Have no idea on after market. Still better off using genuine as at least they will just plug in and fit.

I think I have an extra loom and sensors but will have to check.

Hi Stuart, did you manage to get some part numbers for the loom and sensors so we can buy from Ford? Apologies if you have listed it somewhere else and I missed it.

Sorry, loom part number GB3T-15K867 or EB3T-15K867 just depends on the year made. Both are the same loom though.

Part number on the sensors are F1CT-15K859

Supplying those part numbers to Ford should get you started.

Notes this is the front loom. I have not pulled the one of the rear.

Hi Stewart. Dropped in to my local Ford dealership today to order the sensors and loom for this install and was told Ford didnt list the parts in their system...All they could see was a front parking sensor kit for a BT-50 but they couldnt provide info on what the kit contained. Do you think it will be the same as the ranger setup?

I only pulled the part numbers from the parts. I will be back at Ford in about 2 weeks and will grab the part numbers off the system while I'm visiting.

I wouldn't grab anything but the right ones as it would be a waste if they didn't work.

I assume you have them a 2017 VIN? Giving your own may not show the parts.

Thanks Stewart. Gave them the rego off a late 2017 ranger so assume that would have directed them to the right place.

Update. My contact has been moved to a different area so it is making it difficult to get easy answers. I am due back there in about 5 weeks so will try and get an answer on part numbers.

Sitting at ford waiting for a new replacement exhaust, so may as well do something useful

Manual Transmission multi switch part number EB3T 14B436PB3JA6 $94.21 +gst

Image Image

Wire Sensor Loom EB3T 15K867 CD $67.59
Sensors x 4 not colour coded F1CT 15K859AA5EMZ $278.60

also told I need the brackets and retainers but need to look at a schematic to confirm.
Bracket EB3T 15A862 BBA x 2 $18.78 each
Retainer EB3T 15A861 and EB3T 15A863 one of each $18.26

Edit: updated manual switch details, noticed on checking that ford gave the 4WD switch instead of the multi function.

Stew when you get a chance can you pull the schematic to check what the retainers and brackets are to confirm we need to order them.

Will see if I can get the info when I go next. I did order some retainers and brackets but never heard anything again so will call in sometime and see what the go is.

As above though, my contact has been moved from where he was so I gather I will get the run around these days.

Updated the parts listed above with photos of the multi switch.

Been hunting for the connector locations and finally found the photos buried in with some other on one of SAEB's posts, time to fork out some cash for the loom and sensors and see how I go getting it up and running.

Hi all, just seeing how the XLS install went. I'm interested in doing this to my 2017 XLS and was looking for some feedback and or issues.

Thanks in advance.

No idea as I have never tried it. You would need 6 sensors in the front bumper and 4 in the rear as a minimum. My guess is your xls will not have the 6 front sensors installed nor the additional wiring to support it.

BCM is under the cover near driver knee, where all the fuses are.

You would be best to get yourself some wiring diagrams to wire them correctly. I have never taken pictures and pin locations as mine were pre wired.
