Hi guys,

I just tried connecting to my OBDLink MX from my laptop via Bluetooth after not having connected for several months and it cannot connect. The device is paired and I can connect via various apps from my Android phone, including Forscan Demo.

I did a quick Google search and it appears it may be a Windows 10 update that has caused it to stop working, however I thought I would ask the experts.

Anyone else come across this issue and how have you resolved it?

Yes, I've had that a couple of times now. I have no idea what causes it or whether indeed a Win10 update is to blame. One time it happened I also lost my extended licence as well.

I ended up un-pairing and deleting the dongle from the bluetooth list and pairing again from scratch. I seem to recall that I had to reboot the laptop as well.

Thanks for your reply.

I've tried unpairing and re-pairing, updated Forscan and OBDLink firmware and still no luck.

I ended up digging out my old laptop and managed to connect no worries so that will be my backup until I manage to sort out the connection issues on my current one.
