Another Member from Germany

Hello from Hessen! I am stationed in Germany and plan on retiring here next year. I had a U.S. model 2003 Ranger Edge (3.0L V6) with the standard cab, and it was great for hauling lumber and full sheets of plywood. However, the suspension was stiff and the heavy-duty clutch was murder on the left leg when caught in slow-moving traffic jams (Stau). As my pre-retirement present to me, I sold the 2003 Ranger and shopped for a German spec mid-sized pickup. I thought of buying a full-sized F-150, but it won't fit in my garage.
Last month, I bought a 2018 Wildtrak with the 3.2L Diesel and the 6-speed automatic transmission. It took a lot of searching, but I found a dealer north of Frankfurt who had a couple of extended cab versions on the lot ready to buy. There were over 150 Rangers on the lot in various configurations, nearly all were the four-door version. Of the few that were extended cabs, only one was the Wildtrak, and the rest were XL versions. I don't need the four-door version, since I don't go camping or off-roading, but I do need a long bed for cargo. The extended cab works great for me and I can put a dozen full sheets of 19mm plywood in the back and cruise down the Autobahn with ease. From what I can tell, the only option available for my Wildtrak that it doesn't have is the Driver Assist Package.
Overall, I am very happy with the Wildtrak and it is much more comfortable than the 2003 Ranger Edge.
