Thanks. Just FYI or here viewtopic.php?f=53&t=33 as there is a sub forum for useful website links.

You may also find this a better option for your needs http://www.compulsivecode.com/Project_A ... mpare.aspx which is free and parses the ab files with appropriate information or just load them into Forscan.

Thanks for the info, appreciated. The compulsive code views the "ab" file info better the read.
Have you found the address for disabling "Park Lights" when door opens? I was looking at:
BCM 726-24-01 xxxx xxxx x3xx default=1 (Mentions Park lamp Engine & Park Lamp Body) or
BCM 726-49-02 xxxx xxxx x0xx default=1 (Mentions Park Lamp Body Circuit Config. 0=Not Used, 1=Used)

Not sure where you are pulling your data from?

24-01 will only enable disable DTCs for the circuit
49-02 should completely turn off the circuit

Depends on what you are trying to achieve but I have already had silent mode put into Forscan so use the non asbuilt option for the IPC and enable silent mode as that may do what you want. Your new menu will be in the right hand menu - settings/vehicle/lights.

I do not ever recollect see a setting just to disable parkers on door open but the above will achieve that.

Fortunately, I don't need to find any asbuilt options. I have a complete list of every option in every module for the Rangers, Everest, Mondeos etc. so don't play with asbuilt as such anymore as there is no point. I choose options that are of benefit to most members and supply the appropriate bit changes to be made in Forscan as I have time.

Thanks for the info, the reason for wanting to turn off park lights when door opens is when stopping overnight with caravan attached. Everything lights up like a Christmas tree and blinds everybody.

Yep, what you want is silent mode. I have added the most common options in the non asbuilt areas. What you are looking for is in the IPC non asbuilt.

Enjoy.

Thanks heaps, will advise when done. Being a retired Telstra Technical Officer, it is hard not to play around with software and hex codes.

Enabled Silent Mode for park lights, works a treat.
New 'Fuel Economy' menu very good
Have checked in APIM Non Asbuilt"Nav System" Disabled ???
Have checked in IPC Non Asbuilt "Sirius Menu" Disabled ???
Any ideas on the APIM & IPC?
Was looking at IPC 720-07-01 (Engine Temp & Transmission Temp shows above guages (8" cluster only) My 2017 XLT set to
This maybe for a F150 only but changing to. Any ideas or comments?

Couple of comments.

I have removed the asbuilt code from your post. I hope this explains some things, the tone is meant to be quiet and relaxed but I typed quickly.

Use the latest version of Forscan and use non asbuilt to make your changes. Eg. Fuel economy gauge is in the quick change already. I don't re publish old asbuilt HEX due to people playing too much and breaking things as I generally need to fix it, using non asbuilt changes are not to hide anything they are to make everyone's life simplistic. If I have not added the quick change then posting some asbuilt HEX is ok, but do not post as built data from other sites. If you want me to check a change, PM me and I will give you the correct one, then feel free to post. We don't need broken vehicles.

Do not change the Navigation in the APIM. I have had to sort numerous Sync3 systems out on here due to them making changes. The current non asbuilt changes are Sync2 only! The next release of Forscan will ask the user to select Sync1, Sync2 or Sync3 once connected to the vehicle. Selecting Sync3 you will see that Navigation is enabled. Current change is now in my test version and will go live on the next beta.

I would expect Sirius to be disabled. Yes I added it, but Sirius is not an option in Australia and is a possible solution if the vehicle is delivered to a country that supports it.

Do not use codes from the F150 spreadsheet. Most are not complete or are worked out on a byte level change when especially the IPC uses bit level changes. You will loose functions that you may not even be aware of that do exist. Eg. "Turn Signal Speed Sensitive Volume". There are over 200 changes that are available in our IPC's! A small percentage of the F150 items will work although as above the as built on that spreadsheet is wrong, especially when used on our own vehicles.

You cannot gain any additional Temps etc. as the firmware in the IPC does not support it in the first place.

Feel free to play all you like, I encourage it as long as you have backed up your original asbuilt. Changing anything in the IPC will not break anything long term, this does not apply to all modules though and if you break a module you will need IDS and a VCM to repair it, or take it to a dealer on a trailer.

Anyway, ask anything you want and I will do my best to steer you in the right direction.

Thanks for the feedback, back ups essential from my old Telstra days. Old habits die hard thank goodness.
