Ford ODBII Protocol Specification

A question for those more Ranger savy,
Does anyone know which variant of the ODBII Protocol Specification , the ranger uses ?
J1850 PWM, J1850 VPW, ISO9141-2, ISO14230-4, ISO15765-4/SAE J2480 ?
Is it SAE J1850 PWM or VPW ? Conflicting information on the web.
I want to read up on the appropriate Spec, to build my own customised gauging unit, as a first step. With more mods later.
Any help will be most appreciated.
