While doing some wiring I noticed what appeared to be a broken connection that had been tapped together.

I sent the image to my dealer who said nothing was wrong other than the tape holding it together had let go.

Why have what looks like a broken connector?

I assumed it was broken during assembly and this was a quick fix.

It makes even less sence when the other side is fine.

He said bring it it and we will tape it up again.

It would only be a matter of time before the thin wires broke through constant movement, especially on rough ground in the bush.

Hay Ross were is the connector located, is your rig a dual cab?

Yes, dual cab on the driver's side.

At the rear up near where the connector is that links the harness and the wires to the right side rear lights.

It's easy to see.

I would be interested to know if yours is taped together.

the crap tap job holds the loom in a u position which is about to do the same thing as your photo mate. pretty poor job.

OMG, thinking that someone is proud of this crap Poor guy, you should have left the car like it was...
