I was speaking with NRMA about the roadside assist that comes with the Ford dealer service for newer vehicles. I was told that the Ford package is a "Basic" NRMA roadside assist which limits the towing and lifting (eg flat tyre repair) to vehicles with A GVM of less then 2.5 Tonne.

Ours is with RACQ and Ford pay the basic cover but we top ours up ourselves.

If you want a higher level of cover you pay the balance between basic and the level you want.

We are in SA with the RAA top cover so we get coverage on our caravan when travelling.

Yep!, same with me. My point was that Ford is offering a pretty much useless service for vehicles such as the Ranger (probably Everest too). And they are not even attempting to explain the deficiencies from their customers.
