Hi all
My build of a 2017 Ranger.
plz ask for more detail of any item that you are interested in if i haven't covered it in here.
I have gained a lot from Forums and people sharing so i hope this gives you some ideas and in turn gather your advice and input
I picked the vehicle up from Ford mid/Late July 17 after the long 2.5-3 month wait
this is the car (still in Ford control) getting the ARB frontier 140l tank and Dominator rock sliders installed as part of the deal cut with City Ford in Alexandria.

ARB Frontier tank video
Work was carried out at the 4wd Service center in Sutherland. They let me inspect the car and conducted the works to a professional standard.
A Few days later picked it up from the showroom. with a surprising full tank (140l)
I had a lot of modifications mapped out and was able to purchase a lot of items in the 2-3 months i was waiting
The first mods to the car started with a crash cam
blackvue 2ch
This thing is awesome and connects to a hotspot or predetermined wifi at work ect.
you can also share your live stream with family or the world if you like.
Tailgate easylift and soft open struts (purchased from evilbay)
a very simple and worthwhile mod for any Ranger.
Air on Board overhead switch panel
http://www.aironboard.com.au/store/swit ... ies-2.html
This required the overhead console to be removed and wires fed from across the roof lining down the a pillar and down the passenger kick panel then behind the glove-box to the engine bay (all but headliner removed to feed wiring)
I had the car interior pulled apart I also fitted a Redarc tow pro elite and a lightforce fascia to put a battery link switch (for a future mod) and the dial for the towpro.
The Lightforce Facia install requires you to take 2 plastic trims off beside it that are held in by what seemed 300 clips and required a reasonable amount of force used to a brand new car with the result relatively unknown. This is not for the feint of heart.(my Wifes face when she came in the garage to check on me and realised that half of the Ranger interior was on the back seats was priceless)
The Redarc towpro was purchased with the ford ranger specific wiring harness and instructions (id never fitted one before)
It was relatively simple to install (once id stripped the old fascia and pulled half the car to bits)
locating the blue wire at the rear of the vehicle was difficult as the towpro instructions say its located behind the male plug but the blue wire is actually at the rear of the vehicle in the tow plug wiring harness about 200mm from the large connector towards the rear... loose taped up to a purple wire of the same size within the towpack wiring harness...it took me an entire day (from 7 am to 9pm) to wire the switch panel complete and test towpro, hardwire the crashcam and then put the car back together, I have all the wires that i will even need outside the cab now for future spot lights, winch switch, compressor, DRL's etc.
Fox 2.5 factory racing series shocks and custom springs front and rear for a 1.5-2" lift from SOLVE OFF ROAD.

The Guys at SOLVE deserve a big wrap (ill elaborate on my experience with this fine workshop once i have a bit of time)
They looked at what type of driving i'd be doing on and off road and custom valved a setup that they have spent a considerable amount of time developing for the Ford Ranger (yet i found them by pure coincidence)
at this stage the Ranger had standard wheels and tyres and the reservoirs where mounted as pictured
by far the best mod i have made to the Truck.
I managed to get a QLD tyre mob to order a set of 20" Fuel Vapors in +35 from the states.
Tyres are Nitto Trail Grapplers 305/55/20 (33")
No TPMS sensors at the moment.
Fitted to the Ranger
the reservoirs then started to rub on the nittos (slight only) ...Car went back to SOLVE and Nick moved things around to allow for the bigger wheels.
The Nittos MT are noisy but i can def live with them and the noise....should of gone Terra grapplers maybe? (AT)
I had ordered a Rhino 4x4 Bar at the time id purchased the Ranger and it had arrived to the 4wd service center in sutherland....
Ranger went in (they had it for 3 Days..WTF?) and installed the Bar and Runva 11xp winch.
Winch is hooked up to the overhead switches for fwd and reverse.
More to come i will update with pictures and further mods soon.
