Disable ANC - Active Noise Cancelling

Hi,

I have installed an amplifier and audio processor into the car, when playing the system with engine running and doors open it works perfectly. Chimes, sensors all sound as normal. When you close all doors a sound is introduced even with the headunit at 0 and changes with engine RPM, its not alternators whine etc but fake engine noise.

Due to the amplified signals this noise is loud and really hammers the speakers. I took it to the dealers and they hooked up the car but couldn't find any options to disable the ANC. I've had suggestions to unplug the mics in the headliner, but would prefer to deactivate it. Does anyone know if Forscan has an option for this?

Thanks in advance

Diable ANC

Module ACM

727-01-01 xxxx-xAxx-xxxx enable ANC
or
727-01-01 xxxx-x8xx-xxxx disable ANC

Depending on what channel you have installed your amp, eg. off rear speakers then you may leave ANC enabled on the front but disabled on the rear.

If this is the case use the below change as required;

727-01-01 xxxx-xAxx-xxxx enable ANC
and
727-01-02 xxCC-xx CC = CC Value in below chart, only change CC.

Front Left Font Right Rears CC Value
Yes Yes Yes 45
Yes Yes No 44
Yes No Yes 41
Yes No No 40
No Yes Yes 05
No Yes No 04
No No Yes 01
No No No 00

Turn ignition off for 30 seconds then back on.

Does anyone know if this will work with a new ranger raptor?

Thanks,
Pete.

Hi Stewart, do you know which versions of the Ranger do have ANC capabilities and if by default are enabled or disabled? I'm pretty sure mine does not have it enabled, I am still waiting for my ELM327 to show up and cannot yet check. I have a Sync3 and the car is the one from the signature, thank you very much.

You will know if you have ANC as it will have 3 x small 1 inch vent plastics in the headliner.

To this day no 3.2L Ranger has ANC. 2.0L only.

I have tested with my 3.2L after adding the required components and although it works the engine creates to much vibration and is not tuned to it so have turned it back off.

So press the load factory AB down the bottom, then write all and start again.
If it does not fix it then you have a bad amp.
