EGT

Im confused with the amount of PIDS available for EGT what should I be looking at just wanted to keep an eye on a few things while towing a van.

They all vary so much I added all the ones in that are in the PID calculator they are on the left and the ones that come standard with my OBD2 app are on the right :roll:

I'd monitor EGRT (Pre turbo) as this sensor is occasionally prone to going a little haywire (under acceleration I've seen it spike to >1000C) and generating the Spanner light with no fault code and also gives the best EGT reading IMHO . (replacing the probe fixes the erroneous temp readings and was only $60 from Ford last time)
The other one is EGT13/Bank1-Sensor3 (same thing) as that will best show the DPF burn cycle.

EGT12 is the usual one to monitor
