Im confused with the amount of PIDS available for EGT what should I be looking at just wanted to keep an eye on a few things while towing a van.

They all vary so much I added all the ones in that are in the PID calculator they are on the left and the ones that come standard with my OBD2 app are on the right

I'd monitor EGRT (Pre turbo) as this sensor is occasionally prone to going a little haywire (under acceleration I've seen it spike to >1000C) and generating the Spanner light with no fault code and also gives the best EGT reading IMHO . (replacing the probe fixes the erroneous temp readings and was only $60 from Ford last time)
The other one is EGT13/Bank1-Sensor3 (same thing) as that will best show the DPF burn cycle.

EGT12 is the usual one to monitor
