Another cold start rattly PXII

Sorry guys, wrong section - moved to TSB's
Hi, Like some others on this forum my PX suffers from the above problem. Here are the PCM details...
Part Number: EB3G-12A650-KC (Latest Known: EB3G-12A650-BTV)
Strategy: EB3G-14C204-BTG
Hardware: EB3A-12B684-DC
Transmission Details...
Part Number: EB3P-12B565-AB (Latest Known: EB3P-12B565-CF)
Strategy: EB3P-14C337-CD
Got the car going into Ford on Wednesday for ABS bleed and maybe if there is a PCM update then that also.

I know an update fixed the rattly injector cold start problem for a few on this forum

If it comes good when coolant temp reaches 40c then update should fix it, did for mine.

Update to BTV and the issue will be resolved. BTG always had this issue.

Did they apply the update and did it resolve it?

How will PCM updates effect a remap if at all?

Typically, a module software update by Ford will overwrite all information in the module. A tune in the PCM would be lost.

Hi just like to add my px2 had the cold start death rattle and as I have access to a g-scan 3 I found a injector relearn value and sine then iv not had the death rattle. Been good for the last 3 weeks. Hope this helps

Could you elaborate?
I can see my injector learn values/counts and the Ranger goes through the learn cycle successfully.
What are you doing with the injector learn value?

does your ranger have glow plug issues ? ,because mine did i replaced the glow plugs and glow plug module and its cold start rattles are gone in mine .

Ford did the software update and not had a problem since. My glow plugs are fine.
