Hi All,

I have an Ultragauge mx1.4 in my 2017 Ranger (3.2l). Over the weekend I had an issue with surging under acceleration and power loss where the power train warning light came on.

My Ultragauge showed zero trouble codes or pending codes.

Ford have inspected the vehicle and informed me they can see codes for the EGT sensor and glow plugs. I was seeing very high EGT readings, over 1000 degrees on the Ultragauge so I am confident that sensor is actually faulty.

What I am surprised by is the fact I couldn’t read the codes. Is this a known issue, and, if so, is there some other code reader I could carry that can properly read these codes?

Thanks.

JP

Ultragauge is godd for data monitoring but will not read all codes on my Ranger.

For dtcs I use mx+ and forscan lite on phone or forscan on laptop.
