Hi,

I'm a new member. I have a stock 2017 Everest Trend, and and OBD2 bluetooth scanner.

Anyone know what the PID codes are for the following?
- Battery Voltage
- Battery Charging Current
- Battery Out Current

Much appreciated.

Hi.
Which brand of scanner do you have?
Some of the cheaper units will not work.
But to answer your question follow this link viewtopic.php?t=6907
Select your scanner and required PID, too easy

I have an "OBD-AUS Bluetooth Scan Tool – OBD2 Scan Tool".

I set up all the PID codes. Some observations:

- Battery percentage: At the start of a 1.5hr drive it was at 69%, only climbed to 71% by the end of the drive. I though it was maybe the smart charge feature, so I charged the battery overnight on a 240/12V charger, and this morning it was only at 77%. Battery is only a year old and was only just tested at the last service and is in good health. So I'm not sure what's going on there.
- I couldn't get any tyre pressure or temperature readings. I'm guessing the car doesn't have the sensors.
- EGR open PID doesn't seem to work properly. It was either reading 0% or in the thousands of %.
- EGR temperature was at 215 deg C from starting the car, and stayed on this figure almost the whole drive, dropping once to about 212 deg C. Unsure if this is accurate.

You still haven't said what app you're using with the OBD2 dongle....yes, it makes a difference if you want help.

Dunno about battery stuff, although Stewart did put some new info up at viewtopic.php?t=7080 .
The EGR temp channel that maxed at 215 is normal. What you want is EGRT (sensor in exhaust manifold).
Re the EGR Open %, maybe try x1000 or 10000 and see if the values look more sensible. I note Stewart has a note that says - NOT TESTED POST FEEDBACK for some tools.

If you have this unit https://obd2australia.com.au/product/ob ... scan-tool/ that could be an issue
A lot/most that bought them now use them as paper weights
Can't return them either

I'm using the Car Scanner Pro app. And yes I'm using the https://obd2australia.com.au/product/ob ... scan-tool/ unit. Any idea what the issue with these is? Unreliable or not picking up all the data?

I have alternator current, that seems to be giving reasonable values.

They don't read all the modules, that's why they are cheap mate.

What Bluetooth unit would you recommend that does read all the modules?

OBDLink MX+ is a proven unit
Use the OBDlink App with it & you will be fine.
