I have a Aug 2016 built Ranger WildTrak in standard kit other than Cooper AT3 tyres and a HR tow bar.

Ranger weighs 2700kg with full tank of diesel, 2 adults and not much in tub. Is used mainly for towing a 3200kg Lotus Freelander caravan. So my actual GCM is 5900kg which is close to max. Still considering whether I need a HR WDH and/or suspension upgrade as not happy with way it tows as there is too much bouncing of car and van on roughish roads (eg on M1 near Gosford with the concrete block roadway we bounce all over the place). Hoping to learn from this site.

Hi David and welcome.

Check out the Andersen Hitch mate, I have one and it not only stops the pitching, but has in-built friction sway control. I tow a 3t van and it works great.

Thanks Gerry. I have a Vehicle Components DO35 hitch and maybe this is part of my problem?
