Hi Guys,

Couple of things I'm chasing

1. Trailer assist, it seems that my ranger insists that this is always on, every time I turn it off it gets turned back on when I restart the car. I don't see the point of being able to disable it if it is going to be over written every time I start the car. Does this happen for everyone else?

2. I'm going to attempt an upgrade to my audio system in the near future, so I'm looking for some colour coding for the factory speaker wires, ideally I'd like a full wiring system schematic if there is one available. Is anybody able to assist me with this?

Would it be worth my time to document my install and post on here, I looked on New Ranger forum and there is some info but the main thread would not allow me to see the pics posted so I thought I'd do another especially since I'm adding an amp/processor....what do you guys think?

Speaker colour code:
Driver door: wh & wh-bn
Passenger door: wh-vt & wh-og
Rear Left door: wh-gn & bn-ye
Rear Right door: bn-wh & bn-bu
Nb: first colour is +.

Microphone: + bn-vt,. - wh-gn
12V: ye-bu
Earth: wh-bu
Camera in: + wh-gn,. - bn-vt

Cheers kfa, is there separate wiring for the tweeters or are they just in parallel, or through a crossover etc

Have complete wiring diagram but too big to put up.

Just to clarify Sync 2/3 APIM wiring colours are the same, if asked and for anyone in the future.

Thanks mate, but I am talking about the trailer assist option to enable/disable in the IPC, mine keeps turning itself on every time I start the car.

Trailer Sway option? It is a driver's aid or safety feature so will always revert to on after an ignition cycle which is a good thing.

Any way to disable this? I have a 19' caravan and have had to change my underwear a couple time due to forgetting it was on as it fights the caravan's trailer sway system..

Unsure if just disabling in the IPC disables it in full. Post you IPC saved asbuilt and will return the file, unless the trailer sway option is already in the IPC non asbuilt section? Then disable the menu item then test.

Otherwise I will need to go though some files to look into.
