No, flash is only 8GB and is not large enough for most countries with maps.

Thanks for the update files and the tutorial. update went smoothly, the google maps nav being displayed on the instrument panel is a great update.
one minor minus is now there is no longer to use the phones ringtone, there is now only the 3 inbuilt/system rings now

Is there a list anywhere of the differences between 3.3 and 3.4?

For you, no additional options. Asbuilt will be the same. Any that I sell I replace the firmware also which does give some more options.

Basically what you have is a visual update, rarely does a new feature get added, rather additional item or compatibility for newer vehicles.

Sorry maybe i asked wrongly, my car dont have gps module, i only want to use sync 3.4 without gps,nav ? Is it possible ?

Yes you can use 3.4 less maps.

New here and updated to 3.4 a couple days ago. I have the same issue with climate, completed a master reset and everything else is working. I won't get my odb2 adapter until friday, but is it possible this file will work for mine? Thank you !!

Just like Nick, I also updated to Sync 4.3 and lost my climate settings on my 8" Sync Screen. Can you please say exactly what you changed in the as built to get the Climate settings to show up again? I am using an XLT Sport, so the revised As Built you have uploaded did some wonky things to my Sync that I didn't like (mainly because Nicks is specific to his truck).

Both of you will need to save the APIM asbuilt file and send it to me in a PM.

Could be very old calibrations on the APIM causing problems.

This was a different issue, it was just an ico that needed changing. PM a saved APIM asbuilt file.

What country are you from?

I assume it is LHD and not an asbuilt fault?
Do you have the original saved asbuilt? If not, send me VIN.
Try changing your country code back to the proper country code.
Climate appears to be turned on.

You have a 2016 as per signature? If so it would have been running ver 3.0 prior. Did you install maps?

I have never used the site so can only suggest starting from the start and doing the whole lot again.

Does nav load at all, is the nav button there. Does it just give an error and nothing else? What version was on prior and had it ever had a system up to latest 3.0.

Have you cleared the nav fault. Hold eject and forward seem until test tone is on the screen. Find test settings menu and scroll to bottom and clear nav fault. See if this resolves it.

Let me know how the above goes.

Side note for all, please don't post links to that site. I'm happy for people to go searching and do a non intended factory modification but as it cannot be reverted back to 3.0 even by Ford then it is a risk people need to decide for themselves. If you have ever seen my inbox you would understand.

Fixing non factory installs means I generally don't have a life and is why I have never done a tutorial for this and is why this guide is for 3.2 to 3.4

I did sync 2 to sync 3 and working fine. Then Sync 3.0 latest upgrade from ford and then factory reset and then went to 3.4 everything works well,
except for Nav I did have the issue on 3.0 after going from 2 but it went away.

I have re flashed it last night using your guide. Left it off and will go check soon.

Compass will work either way, nav or non nav.

Do this all this first, if it still does not work, ZIP and PM me the reformat.lst.

1. With ignition on hold these 2 buttons until you see the next screen.

2. Press End Test

3. Select APIM diagnostics

4. Take screen shot of below so I can see all file name, you may need to scroll down

5. Go back out to main menu and select test settings

6. Scroll to the bottom and clear nav faults if any, this may resolve it

Again. Do this all this first, if it still does not work, ZIP and PM me the reformat.lst.

I completed and did the test and reset nav fault it starts spinning for ages and stays like that until i power cycle the system.

File must have been there if you updated from 3.0, there is no other way. Anyway, doesn't matter.

Everything seems fine so I will say you have an asbuilt issue, possibly even the wrong country code.

Not sure the process you try so impossible to answer.

As per first post instructions here are to update 3.2 to 3.4 and not 3.0 to 3.4. if this is what you are trying to do then yes it will fail.

Hi Saeb,

Tried running the upgrade as per the instruction, I get an error code when the USB launches
"Installation failed Error code: LST_ERR05, Download files again and retry to install, if error persists, please note the code and contact 610-386-133673"

Any ideas?


EDIT: Tried with a separate USB tonight, same error code.
Method
Car running, insert USB - error code comes up after about 5 seconds.
Have tried a 32gb card and an 8, also ensured the car was not connected to any devices via Bluetooth. Any help past this point would be appreciated!
