any ideas greatly appreciated. :D

Will depend on what pin you are using in the trailer plug although I don't think this is what you are asking.

Pin 8 will switch off as it is classed as a charging pin.
Pin 9 is direct from the battery and has power at all times. If you decide to use it.

Maybe the camera is a wireless camera? and is getting RF interference.

Probably need more info on what it is and how it is all wired, power and video.

Hi Stewart thank you for your reply, the plug on the caravan is a 7 pin flat type with the factory ford socket 12 pin on the truck, the black power wire is on pin 2 the white earth is on pin 3 and the trailer brake wire blue wire is in pin 5, the brown wire is in pin 6, red wire pin 1, green wire is pin 7 and yellow pin 4, the yellow red brown and green wires are in the wrong positions as the caravan has been wired up incorrectly, and thats the only way to get them going, but my question is once I got the truck and caravan the camera worked good as gold for about 4 months but now its doing the turn off thing.

Sounds like you had the camera power from the caravan lights in a previous post, have you checked power feed to the camera at this location when the camera turns off?

If I'm wrong please tell me how the camera gets its power.

How does the camera transmit video, wifi I guess?

If power is good and it is wifi and drops out then it could only come down to RF interference. Move the receiver away from there mirror area if it is mounted there, turn off UHF or any other TPMS devices and retest.

Hi saeb thank you for your suggestions, I moved the monitor from the coin tray on top of the dash and away it went works perfectly so put the aerial down and put it back were it was and it still works perfectly, so thank you again cheers.
