help wifi

hi all. im having trouble with my obdlink mx wifi. it won't connect up in the back port it will only connect up in the white front port. I've done a reset any ideas. im using a samsung tablet with for scan lite and obdlink
stock stand looking for ideas :D

You will have to wait for Stewart, I use a Bluetooth model.

I can only guess that one of the pins in the port has pushed through into casing. They are pretty week and easy to break.

Turn ignition off and remove keys. Remove the 2nd port ( gateway module ) 2 x nuts holding it on, you will need deep socket, 8 or 10mm I cannot remember, and one plug.

Look where you plug into and you will probably see a pin pushed back into the housing. Disassemble the housing and put pin back into hole and pack with something to stop it happening again. I cannot remember the full repair I did as it was a while back, but I did put something in to stop the pin pushing out again.

I can only assume this is your problem as I see no other reason. If you do the repair, share a few pictures and some words as I did not last time.
