Hello,
Sorry if this is stupid, but how do i know if my truck has DPF?

If it's a 2017 XLT PX2 then yes it has. In fact, it should have been subject to a recall to get a guard installed around the DPF to stop potential grass buildup catching alight. If not, I'd check with a Ford dealer and get it done.
