SSM 46942 - 2015-2017 Ranger and Everest Vehicles Equipped with Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) - Radio Stations Changing Autonomously

Some 2015-2017 Ranger and Everest vehicles equipped with DAB may experience a random switching of FM and DAB radio stations. Prior to normal diagnosis, dealersare advised to disable the “Alternative Frequency” setting for SYNC3 vehicles via Setting >> Radio >> Alternative frequency (OFF) and the “Service Linking” setting via Setting >> Radio >> Service linking (OFF), and for SYNC1 vehicles via Menu >> Audio Settings >> Altern frequency (OFF). It is advised dealers make these setting changes as part of the pre-delivery inspection to ensure a higher customer satisfaction level.
