advice on forscan?

What is recommended to get as the forscan tool? Searching i seem to find many calling themsleves forscan tools. Mainly i would like to reset a module for my low beam headlight. I has a problem in the past with it so believe it should be a reset mofule issue simply enough. I have an old obdlink but doubt thats any good for resests. Have heard about the forscan tool here so many times. And not sure what one is legit that i should get. Hate to get wrong one.
Any help on a link or advise or something for which one to aim for would be appreciated.
Or if anyone is Perth based with one that may be able to assist would be great. South of river.
Cheers.

Forscan has to be installed on a laptop then you connect to the vehicle with the dongle.
You can get an OBDLink Bluetooth dongle but you still need a laptop

Not all dongles will see all modules.
Is your copy of Forscan licensed?

These are the 2 I purchased (together as a package deal).
https://obd2australia.com.au/product/ob ... scan-tool/
https://obd2australia.com.au/product/fo ... an-switch/

Neither will connect to either my android phone (with app installed) or my win 10laptop (with software installled).

I am sure neither of those will work.

No its not licensed. I havr that OBD and can get faults amd stuff but not resets. I haven't tried it to see the fault at this stage as its happened before so assuming the same issue.
Might just have to take to ford the reset i guess. Easiset option.
Tries some other forums hoping someone mufht have all the forscan stuff and migbt be willing to help me out.
All good. Thanks fr the info. Appreciated.

If it's not licensed then it won't read all the modules.
You can get a free license that will last 2 months

These are junk. They don't work on Ranger or Everest. Seller still has YouTube and FB videos out there. Recently put a tiny asterisk disclaimer at the bottom of the product page, although Wayback history shows his pages previously didn't have this. Very arrogant to deal with.

Yeah I had no joy, sent an email and the reply was to unlug the device whilst it is trying to connect and that would reset the conection attempt..... It did Nada and Ive not recieved a response to my second email.

There's an Android version at least. Worked for me for scanning, graphs, and clearing codes, with OBDLink MX over bluetooth.

Laptop version is needed for full features and module configuration.
