Factory inverter not working

hey guys/girls
Noticed my inverter isn't working, not sure how long its been like it. Normally just have a air freshener in it. Car is out of warranty. Not sure if its just a fuse or the inverter itself. Have been reading when you open the flap a green light should appear? But I get nothing. No power from plug and no green light.
What could it be? inverter is stuffed or just a fuse? Been trying to find the fuse (apparently under bonnet fuse box is 2 tier but haven't worked out how that happens yet.)
Any help would be great
