How many klms do you do before the gauge moves from full? That may give a clue.

saeb wrote: Tue Jun 20, 2017 6:18 pm Nope sorry. If I get my hands on one again I will give it another shot but at this stage Forscan is not an option. I'm thinking I may need to read and re write the eeprom on the cluster itself though. So if anyone has a PX1 IPC then I'm open to looking again.
Hi Stewart,
Is there any news on the PX1 DTE mod available yet?
Cheers barrg0

No, had a look at a couple and it appears to be in the firmware so cannot be done. It's plausible it can be changed elsewhere but without pulling a PX1 cluster apart I will never know.

If anyone has a spare sitting around I can only pull it down and see if anything sticks out.

Hi guys. I’m having issues doing anything with my FORScan. I have a ford ranger px2 and running the obdlink mx Wifi off my windows laptop. When I first did it a few days ago it all worked and I enabled the climate control. But now I can’t do anything and it keeps saying service procedure interrupted when I hit write. I wanted to enable silence mode but it just won’t bloody do it.

In addition to all this FORScan lite will connect but forget about logging for anything over 5 minutes. It just comes up with “unable to run data stream. Please make sure the ignition key is on and try again”. This is whilst driving

I would really appreciate some help as this is so frustrating.

Do you have any other devices plugged in, Scangauge etc?

Bernie,
Sounds a little familiar, save your logs, delete the logs, load a fresh profile, (ie new read, save and then delete existing profiles) run again, as above ensure all other hardware/software disconnected, think you will be good to go.

No.

Wifi only, blame Apple for locking down their software.

Hi Stewart,
Did you say this will not work on a 2012 Ranger? You also said not to change the float length. I have already done that because empty still had 20ltrs in thank, gauge works better but if I change tank size will the float length stuff that up now.

Glenn.

Hi Glenn, you cannot change the tank size for DTE in a PX1. I never remember ever saying don't change the float length. I generally recommend to bend the float arm an additional 2mm over ARB specs as they are being pretty cautious. Float and DTE work independently of each other.

PX1 write up is here and the changes are minimal viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1213

Real bummer on not being able to change the PX1. Pitty I have spent about $200 before finding that out. You did not say not to put a longer arm in but in this post back on Aug 1 2017 you said they don't do it. Anyway I did mine not in responce to you post. Non arb second hand 140ltr tank and I was sick of having 20ltrs in tank when it was on empty. It was fun having to go up and over the sump type wall, and I do not know how the PX2 works but the PX1 has an electronic dampener for the gauge so finding out empty was around 255 ohms was a real challenge (10 ohms full by the way). Last fill the gauge worked from full and touching red was 50 dte with 13ltrs left in tank so it is a lot better and I can live with that. Thanks for all your work. Glenn.

I didn't see the extra bit about the PX1 site untill later. That looks like some great info. Thanks again. Glenn.

I'm glad you got an improved reading Glenn, well done! Pretty sure Brown Davis was using an extended float arm but ARB poly never did, they just bent it.

Thanks for all the info on the site, it's greatly appreciated [emoji1303]. I have searched but couldn't find an answer so thought I will put the question out there.

Does anyone know if it's possible with Forscan to disable the park lights coming on when a door is opened on a 2018 PX2 XLT?

Thanks in advance.

Do a search for silent mode. This is enabled in the IPC and is the it way you will achieve what you want.

Thanks for the reply, is there another way to achieve this without using silent mode. As I still want the indicators to flash for lock / unlock.

If not I will just leave it as is, thought it worth asking the question. Many thanks for your support

Hi
I have a PX2 with Sync3. What I understand is NON-Asbuilts are safe to make changes - due to plain english (no hex codes).
If this is correct, I have attached the APIM config and noticed I can enable 'Front Camera" and "Heated Steering Wheel Icon"
I'm not sure if the hardware exists for the front camera and heated steering wheel, so if options show in the Non-Asbuilts module, does this mean the hardware is installed?
And overall if I enable/disable any of the Non-Asbuilts and hardware isn't there, will I break anything or create fault codes?
When Forscan sais to "turn off/on" ignition after making a change, is it best practice to "stop" Forscan and "Disconnect" before ignition sequence?

Thank you

Asbuilt is there because it is an option in the current module you are working on, no it does not mean the other module or hardware exists or is even compatible. Sync3 options have been collated from various sources and I have not tested them or put any info towards them.

No you will not break anything with non asbuilt.
Fault codes, check for fault codes and you will find out pretty quick.
No need to disconnect, it is just telling you as part of the process. Personally, I never cycle ignition until I have completely finished.

Thanks Stew,
Feedback Sync3:
- successfully turned off seat belts, door chimes
- tweaked fog lights to remember last position
- intelligent 4wd - only shows "power/traction" to each wheel (disabled)
- intelligent 4wd mode - only shows "normal" on dash (disabled)
- offroad gauges - pitching left/right works ok, but no data on front/back
- tweaked tyre size - gps is now a lot closer to odometer and speedometer
- climate control added to menu

There's a lot of cool info on your site mate :ugeek:
Cheers Dreese

Just wondering, when people are turning door chimes off do they still chime when the lights are left on?
