Hi, did a bit of a search, but could not locate what I was after.

Running a px2, and finally plumbed in the winch, and just realised. These things have a shunt on the negative terminal for the alternator.

My question is, should I have the winch connected on the active side of the shunt, or should it be bypassing it?

How many amps can these things handle?

Thanks for any feedback.

Anything and everything should always be mounted to the body.

Never wire anything between the shunt and the battery terminal. No ifs or big butts.

It handles full load on a winch just fine.
