Thought I'd share my experience trying out Bush Wrapz, a DIY paint protection film.

I've ended up with some pretty bad pinstripes in the past venturing into tracks that suddenly got tight with no way of turning around. My wife uses the Ranger as well and hasn't been too impressed with how our shiny metallic paint looks after some trips.

I looked at few other options like magnetic barriers but they looked like a PITA to carry and put on each trip. Paint protective films looked good but every quote I got came in over $3k. So I ended up buying a DIY PPF kit for ~$500 from https://bushwrapz.com.au/

After three months of use I have to say I'm pretty happy with it. It's held up well to some stupidly overgrown tracks and its very cool to see it "self heal" in the sun when it does cop a good scratch.

The kit is pretty easy to use and apply, get someone whos good at crafts to help you is my advise. Think wrapping contact paper on books, I suck at it so I got my sis to help out ( really she did 80% of it ). In my case the whole job took about 7 hours after washing, claying, cut and polishing out the old scratches, claying again, and applying. Probably 3 hours went into the actual wrapping.

Some pics and videos:

My Ranger on side profile with the wrap on after a few trips. You really can't see edges unless you get fairly close.

Here's a close up of pinstripes that cut into the area between the tub and rear door. I ended up buying an extra roll later to cover this area as well.
