If you are only reading data then it is not and issue, for writing changes I recommend it.

Sometimes you can get issues with not being able to either connect to a vehicle or the entire process will run at reduced speed.

You may or may not have the 2 ports? LHD vehicles to not from what I have seen but is may be country specific and some countries have knee airbags which changes the layout again also.

Just had my PX work vehicle replaced with a PX3. Fell into the trap of not knowing about the second OBD port when connecting up a speed interface module. Solved that problem after talking to the supplier of the module and now have it connected to the black port.

It would appear though that some signals are not passed to the white port - the speed module would not detect speed info from the CANBUS HI/LO lines on the white port but quite happily found it on the black port. The module supplier commented that the white port was "firewalled". Is this the case?

Cheers.

He is on drugs, it basically loops out of the GWM/black port, but saying that I have seen a couple of vehicles with what I believe are are either faulty front ports pins or wiring.

It is behind the front port under the dash
The green light you can see in the pics is the OBDlink plugged into #2 port
