Is it possible to retrofit electric folding mirrors to a PX3 XLS?

I don't have any wiring diagrams to reference so no idea if there is some kind of control module for them or if it would just be a case of switching the wing mirrors and the controls itself (1 with the button to fold) assuming the loom is present .

No control module. I highly doubt the wires are in the door loom. Easiest way to check would be by the wire pinnings. Pull the tweeter speaker off the door behind mirror, I assume you have one and there is a multi plug behind it.

Post you colours and what pins are occupied and I will give you an answer.

Ok had a look at the plug into the wing mirror and it's fully populated (10 pins), the indicator on the mirror works but couldn't test folding action at this time as I don't have a button for that on the controls.

Looking at the rear of the plug from left to right;

Top row

Black/yellow, black/yellow, blue/green, grey, purple/orange



Bottom row

grey/yellow, green/blue, yellow green, blue, purple

hmmm looks intresting ,this is something I would like to do too, its one thing I miss from my xlt.

Oh excellent thanks for that, so yellow/green and blue on the bottom row. By looks of it the control wires are there then!

So i actually bought the manual from that guy and nothing inside it resembled the image you posted above with regards to the connector pinouts etc, in fact all the pdfs had dead links to images and i had to request wiring diagrams specifically which were sent separate (after asking).

Anyway, removing the mirror control switch shows the 2 wires required for the power fold motors is missing, so given the fact the mirror connectors themselves are fully populated there must be another connection somewhere else between the mirror and the control switch but nothing on the wiring diagram alludes to that.

Ive checked the pins behind the button and the mirror plug, and the folding wires are populated.

XLT folding mirrors and a mirror adjustment switch is plug and play on a 2019.17 xls with tech pack

Where did you get the mirror fold button from?

A local wrecker, $20. I have since installed a redteck auto fold module which bypasses this completely

can you post more pics on the folding mod?
i have a 2020 xls and looking to buy raptor side mirror set.
