If the lights are working correctly and do not shut down and there are no DTCs then leave it as is.
Great write up! I’m going to be following this shortly, so I may have a couple of questions, I have a wildtrack, how can I know if Pin 7 can be used for the DRLs? I plugged the new set of headlights in. (Without having them installed) and the DRLs seemed to work as expected. I note also that the Wildtrak appears to have Pin 7 populated for it's incandescent DRLs
