Hi Lee,

Not sure mate. Mine is a wire in and maybe it is a copy of that.

I have attached the wire in manual for a PO-40 so it may give you a starting point. If you are successful don't forget to let everyone know.

Hi Lee, how did you go?
I had a cheap EBay jobbie, think it cost me around the 10 dollar mark or so. It does work a treat, but did have some wiring issues with following the PO-40 compared to the "wiring instructions" given with the unit.
If it's the same type of unit, I wrote down the color coding associations.
Regards,
Paul.

Hi Pxwild,
sorry for the late reply. It went into my Spam folder for some reason.
This is the unit I purchased: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Door-Lock-Re ... 2a7ed85f69

With my unit it had a "manual for autoside mirror folding system"

In the wiring diagram it has the following:

Yellow - ACC ON + This connects to Blue/White Fused Connector A (Cut & Join)
Grey - Switch on side mirror + This connects to Blue switch side Connector A (Cut & Join)
White - Switch off side mirror + This connects to Yellow/Green switch Connector A (Cut & Join)
Black - Ground This connects to Black/Blue Connector A (Splice)
Red - 12V (+) This connects to Red Connector B (Splice)
Green - Door open signal + This connects to Grey/Brown Connector C (Splice)
Blue - Door close signal + This connects to Purple/Green Connector C (Splice)
Orange - Output for close mirror + This connects to Yellow/Green harness side Connector A (Cut & Join)
Brown - Output for open side mirror + This connects to Blue harness side Connector A (Cut & Join)

Hopefully this is the same colour coding that you have on your unit.

Regards,
alexNpaul

P.S. Sorry Stewart, but I don't have any happy snaps of the installation.

The only things I changed to Alex and Paul's wiring plan was the yellow acc to blue white splice do not cut and the central door locking blue and green from the module go to the reverse colours of what was written 👍But all in all thanks for the wiring diagram it all works well now 👍

PO40 is easier and quicker to instal, unit has male and female plugs that connect to original mirror panel with an extra 3 wires that pick up battery, lock and unlock wires. That’s it. Took 10 minutes to fit.

Hello together,

just some questions from my side. How long did it take you to install the module (and where must it be installed??)
You someone add some pictures - would be nice for rebuilding.

Best regards, Luca

Steps to use the test P-Quick harness with the MkII Ranger

UNDER CONSTRUCTION - comments welcome.

Use the Ranger MkII Installation sheet as a guide.(2017 Ford Ranger PX2)

1) Identify the PQuick harness, the Universal harness and the Po-40 control box. This sheet concerns only the PQujick harness and the Po-40 control box. Please return the universal harness to Ashpoint if not used,

2) Read sections 1 to 6 inclusive.

3) Remove External mirror control panel.

4) Remove the male component from Connector A and fit to the female connector in the P-Quick harness.

5) Fit the male component from the P-Quick Harness into the vacated slot.

6) (12 Volts) Locate Connector C2280H on drivers side fuse panel and splice the Po-40 Red wire to the Violet Red wire of Connector C2280H.(Note, there is 2 Violet-Red wires, use the larger of the 2 wires)

7) (Lock) Locate connector C2280F on drivers side fuse panel and splice the Po-40 Blue wire to the Grey Brown wire in connector C2280F(Large wire as per photo)

8) (UnLock) Locate connector C2280F on drivers side fuse panel and splice the Po-40 White wire to the Brown Green wire in connector C2280F(Large wire as per photo)

9) Connect the Po-40 control box to the harness and test.

Hi Stewart,
Just purchased and fitted an ebay sourced module for $10 and it works a treat. Big thankyou to yourself for the PO-40 guide and to alexNpaul and Pxwild for their posts. Couldn't of done it with the instructions provided so many thanks.
I found Pxwild's changes to alexNpaul's original wiring map were correct but also think the grey and white wires were opposite as I now have my manual mirror fold button working in reverse (ie pressed in = mirrors out/button out = mirrors in. Maybe this is an Everest v Ranger thing but can’t imagine so. Im not too concerned and left it that way but I believe the list below is correct:

Yellow - ACC ON + This connects to Blue/White Fused Connector A (Splice)
Grey - Switch on side mirror + This connects to Yellow/Green switch side Connector A (Cut & Join)
White - Switch off side mirror + This connects to Blue switch Connector A (Cut & Join)
Black - Ground This connects to Black/Blue Connector A (Splice)
Red - 12V (+) This connects to Red Connector B (Splice)
Green - Door open signal + This connects to Purple/Green Connector C (Splice)
Blue - Door close signal + This connects to Grey/Brown Connector C (Splice)
Orange - Output for close mirror + This connects to Yellow/Green harness side Connector A (Cut & Join)
Brown - Output for open side mirror + This connects to Blue harness side Connector A (Cut & Join)

Many thanks again to the 3 of you. I have uploaded a guide for anyone attempting it in the future.
I should add, it appears the plug and play version is on sale at Redtek for $90 (down from $140) so probably an option worth considering.

Can u do this to a px3 xls without the mirror fold button on the dash

No Phil 78. It needs the mirror motors. Just makes it automatic when locking/unlocking the car rather than having to remember to press the manual fold button.

The windows and mirror modules from this site are very well made, Australian and not Chinese.
Plus they are plug & play, no splicing required.

The cheap options are still on eBay! Search for “side mirror auto fold” or words to the effect and there’s plenty of options from $12.12

Thanks for the replies guys, much appreciated..

Sjbrown, thanks mate.
I have seen them but I couldn’t see the Po 40 ones and now I know why.. I’m not to keen on trying something no one has used. Was considering trying the Po 40 only because I saw this post but being not available I can’t..

I’ll just got with the trac electronics which I have found a lot have been using..
