Merry Xmas everyone!!!

Im wondering if anyone could help me with issues I have with my ranger, I've had a good read through the forum and found bits and pieces information that was relevant to my problems but need some more help.

I started off with putting LED combined fog and DRL onto the truck with no issues and internal lamp changes to LED, changed the entertainment system.

After a month I decided to put some plug and play HID, at first it caused a fault with the drivers side low beam and I took it to a garage to reset and then it worked fine for a few months. Then it stopped working again with only 7v only going through to the low beam, I checked every fuse and connection to ground, swapped the units around etc and couldn't reset the BCM.

The entire dashboard also stopped working completely (this is my fault as I think i crossed ground to live) and I located the the fault to a relay which i changed for new and everything appears to be working.

Then I tried to reset the BCM, IPC etc etc and basically think i've messed something up as I have lots of faults which I cannot clear.

Ive read about the FET BCM and aware now that I will have to change but I need to sort the other issues first before going any further and completely lost on what to do now.

I've attached the codes and any help would be very appreciated.

Many Thanks again

Gavin

You may have killed the BCM.

Did you change any asbuilt data by chance? If yes then it will need to be put back to factory default.

I hope you had a excellent Xmas and new year..

I didn't change any as builts and will to try and do some fault finding and see what's going on in the next few days.

If the BCM is dead do you know if things will start going wrong straight away? I've driven the truck for a few days and haven't experienced any problems..as yet.

One of the first DTC I have is: P1794 battery voltage circuit is open..Can this be a simple case of a flat battery as I don't even know where to start with this one.

Have you press the clear DTC button to see what if any DTCs are still current?

I tried to clear the DTC but they all keep coming back, I’ve checked the wiring underneath the relays as a few of DTC are saying a ground fault but cannot see anything.

The main issue I have is to get the low beam headlight working now, is this now just a case of getting the bcm replaced if I can’t find anything?

If you have that many DTC's then you have more issues than a headlight not working. Try another battery and see if it resolves anything but I'm not going to research the amount if DTC's that I see showing in the first few images.

Basically you have BIGGER issues than a headlight and if they are still all current DTC's then you need to visit a dealer or an Auto Electric to get to the bottom of it.

Personally I think you have done some damage to the BCM and there could be other issues due to how things are wired or you may have simply damaged a canbus wire.
