Thank you for the bulletin. If I understand this correctly, the original LC5001X element can be used on both versions of the Provent 200. I can't find any stocking vendors for the LC5001/2X yet, so I won't bother with the upgrade.

No it can't if I am reading it right

You can use the new LC5001/2X Element in either Provent 200.
Installing an LC5001/2X (IV element) in a standard ProVent 200 which is not converted to the IV design is 100% safe to do.

You can't use the old LC5001 X element in the Provent 200 once it has been converted.
Installing the old LC5001X element into an IV system will eventually cause over pressurisation of the crankcase when the element is blocked.

Oh...you're correct. I was thinking new version but typed old version. Getting old sucks. :(

If the new elements are ever available here in Germany, I can fit it without modifying my current ProVent 200.

Yes you can but the parts needed for the conversion come with the new filter.

Strange as the new filter is distinctly marked Made In Germany.
They will become available as the old one is being phased out.

The cost is the same as it has always been for the genuine replacement filter, $79.
The extra part is included but entirely up to you if you fit it.
