Are PIDs the same for 3.2 and 2.0 bi-turbo

This one is for the OBD2 savy
Using an Ultragauge, when gear position is working properly it shows a 1 in 1st gear etc. But for the first few minutes the gauge is displaying the gear code with a seven in front of the 1. This occurs on start-up for some 5 minutes or so. After reversing it shows 5 and after being in 10th gear the 1 stays displayed for 5 minutes as well.
I've used the PID calculator here so I'm assuming it's right. This is programing a 2018 XLT Bi-turbo.

My question is are the PID codes the same for the 3.2 and the 2.0 bi-turbo
Any help would be appreciated.

Sometimes but not always.

10 speed does have an additional PID for gear so test 221E1F instead of 221E12.

This should show 1 to 10 so make sure L/R is 20 and not 10.

Until tested it will be unknown whether this will show correctly for each gear in drive mode or only in manual mode.

I tried the 2 changes you suggested but it came up with an error. So I put the 221E1F back to 221E12 but left the L/R at 20 and Bingo if works. It shows 70, 60, 50 moving from Park, Reverse, Neutral but when it gets to Drive it shows the correct number gear
Thank you, problem solved.
