I'm send one to Gerry tomorrow further testing. So far it appears to be holding up perfectly.

Test fitted on a Wildtrak the other day without an issue also.

Next will be to work out who would want want, flat or with the extra table on top. If a phone is used it would usually have a swivel mount so flat will probably be the main one.

Hopefully Gerrys testing will have a positive result.
I am still interested, I will useing it for my Ultra Gauge, I already have the Ultra Gauge vertical mount.

Have you tried it on a WildTrak yet? The dash top has the "padded" top with "stitching" that may cause an interference with your mount.

Happy to test-fit if you post one to WA - I'll sent it back when done.

Tried it on one a few weekends ago, fits perfect on those also.

Auspost look as through they hit Gerry's test one with a hammer which doesn't help the process.

Few hickups with this.

The positive is I have found it to be solid, even on the hot days.

Getting access to the printers has been a problem in the last part of this year.
I do have a spare sitting here, but trying to get a replacement part and this turned into a nightmare. Even with the help of a member that lives in Germany the manufacturer has still not shipped after 8 weeks and there is now a PayPal dispute to crawl through.

I have to look at making a silicone mould but was hoping to avoid this due to the small amount required.

I have made a note to follow up this week.

Testing a 50% infill today. There is an issue with this one as the table was not warm enough.

50% infill with a 6 layer external casing will take approx 3.5 hours. Last prototype was only 15%.

If you find a solution that works and is durable, will you consider making a black version for those of us with LHD trucks? My Ultragauge MX arrived yesterday, and there is no suitable place to attach the vertical mount. I like the idea of mounting it next to the A pillar like you show in the first post.

The iDrive I ordered arrived earlier in the week, and it fits nicely to the right of the steering wheel out of sight but still accessible.

Definitely Mike, it is quiet easy to print a mirror image.

We printed 3 last week, 2 moved on the table, so are faulty and the other one also came out with an error due to an issue with the print head.

Being that they can take 3.5 hours to print one and the material wasted, it is tedious and time consuming which leads to frustration. We have upped the thickness on the walls though and I would say they are nearly at a point where they could easily hold 5kg without adverse affects.

Honestly, I want them done tomorrow but can only do what I can do.

I'm hoping you will see your parcel soon, I noticed it sat in US customs for about 4 days!

Update, I have had some time to play and things are looking very positive. I should have access to 3 x 3d printers shortly to punch a few out. Note they take 7 hours each to print and not everyone is usable. They are 50% honey comb infill and have 4 outer layers. I could pull the infill back but I prefer to go the extra mile.

The Design to suit the Ultragauge is set and there will be another to test for phone mounts soon, although these could shill be used for that.

These will go out as a raw unit as such but can be smoothed with very fine sandpaper 1200 grit plus and polished with a cloth buff. I spent 40 minutes to polish on and make it look beautiful but time is money as such and this will not be done. As a raw unit they still look pretty awesome though and are now printed with UV resistant plastic. The ABS ones were going white from the heat and sun.

I need to work out pricing and how to even package them as although they are strong for there purpose, Auspost drop boxes on them and smash them into pieces.

Thanks mate, starts getting bigger than life but still a good idea. At the end of the day, the quantity is going to be minimal so I will pump 20 out over the next 3 weeks and 1 lhd one for Mike.

Progress, so not far off then I will post some details.

Nearly ready to go.

Next is some PVC tubing so they can actually be sent without getting smashed by large courier drivers and large boxes. Will be showing some better shots this week and possibly settle on a cost.

Have 19 RH mounts and 4 LH mounts. Probably more than enough I would say.

These are ready to start ordering but please read everything below first.

Couple of images of the brackets to suit Ultragauge or other but was primarly designed around the Ultragauge.

• Printed in ASA which is UV resistant. They are 50% infill with and are 6 layers so very strong.

• These will only be supplied in what I call RAW form and will be as per images 1 and 2.

• They can be smoothed off with emery cloth and polished if you want to take the time to do so, see 3rd and 4th images.

• There are limited LHD, (Left Hand Drive or left hand dash)

• I have no idea when I would do another run.

I received Stewart's bracket for the LHD Ranger and it fits perfectly. Here are some images of it installed in my 2018 Wildtrak (excuse the dust). Click on the images for a larger view.

The bracket snaps firmly in place and the only modification I made was to lightly sand the front surface to create a smooth surface for the adhesive pad on the vertical mount.

Hi Just wondering how these fit with a dash mat, any one tried?

Have not tried but seeing a pic of a Ranger with a dash mat the other day, I see no reason why it would not work.
