Check Park Pilot

Hiya,

Hoping someone can assist with this issue I’m currently afflicted by...
I recently replaced the dash display
The vehicle does not have any parking aids...no camera, parking sensors or any self parking functions
The solution I seek is to disable this “Check Park Pilot” display that appears each time I start the vehicle.
I have recently downloaded Forscan and purchased an elm switchable comms adapter...but after what feels like an age of looking...I can’t seem to find a way to disable it

Any advice or guidance on this one would be great

You do not have parking sensors I assume so that is the error.

Turn them off in IPC non as-built. They should still be in the list.

What was the reason for changing the cluster, what vehicle was it out of? Did you write the as-built from your original cluster to the new one as that is the first thing I would do.

Hey Stewart,

Speedo needle just stopped one morning after my son drove it...odometer kept counting...was using phone for speed.
Replacement was an eBay special from an XLT 2018 I believe... I didn’t write the as built from the original as I hadn’t used Forscan/elm until this issue arose...
The dash is a different display to the original..the one I removed had the blue vlcd type display and I took a punt on the connectors being compatible.
Would the fix be in the as built body bcm?
I’ve been reluctant to alter the as built
Have disabled parking aid indicator and confirmed associated sensors were disabled in IPC module non as built area...no result
I found a spreadsheet on the forscan forum for a 2015-2020 F150 that listed disable/enable park aid feature...

726-46-02 xxxx xxx* xxxx Park Aid Feature Present Cfg: 0=not present, 1=present

I haven’t checked this is an option in the body control module...

Could you advise if this is worth changing (if it even exists in my BCM?)

Cheers

Dennis

PS...

Would you recommend I reinstalled the original display and downloaded the as built files to compare the settings...or should I continue to trawl for information and hope I blunder into something relevant.
Without sources, I fear I will be stuck with the issue
It’s more of an annoyance than a problem as it can be ‘okayed’ out

Install old cluster. Save asbuilt.
Reinstall new cluster. Save asbuilt.
Load old asbuilt from old cluster to new cluyster and write.

You may get a note saying different amount of blocks. Write anyway and test.

Stewart

Thanks for your guidance...and time, to respond on this, I was about resigned to the fact that I was either going to replace the display or live with the issue...that said, how do I donate to the cause...you saved me coinage and it’s only fair it goes to your time and service...
👍
