Gday all out of the closet

Hi Folks
Finally coming out of the closet after stalking some of the sites pretty heavily for the past year or so, deciding what to buy and what to do to it.
I've found a few of the forums fantastic, really. A lot has changed in 40yrs and I've gotten soft when it comes to working on my own vehicles, so the technology has left me behind. Took me long enough to catch up on the new stuff in trout fishing - soft plastics?? It really is amazing stuff, though, and the info I've picked up on the forums has been phenomenal. Have been feeling like I need to thank everyone on this and the other forums for all the help you didn't realise you were giving me!
Comparing my old 69 cruiser with the Ranger is hilarious. I'm loving the comfort, the performance and dare I say it - the character? The family is really enjoying it, too. What a blast to watch the kids swiming in alpine rivers on a hot summers day.
Am cruising ebay and Amazon looking at wifi dongles and just starting to wrap my head around forscan etc.
Only a few things I want to do so far, being an XLS I'd love to get the outside temp working on the little screen, just bugging me that it's there but I can't see it. So, I'm planning on spending an inordinate amount of time trying to get it! And of course, I want to see if I can switch off the stoopid parkers coming on every time I open the door. Then I'd like to find that code that makes me more attractive to women ...
Stewart, you are one of the many I've been stalking. If you've been finding it hard to sleep with the window open, I might be to blame ... awesome job you've done with this project. I'm sure a lot more people are benefitting from it than you ever hear from.
Well, off to buy a dongle and lose some more sleep. Please try not to laugh too loud. I'll probably scream for help soon.
Cheers
