Hi All,
Been having some rev fluctuation issues. PX1XLT 3.2 Auto.
When in Park (and it does some odd things in D too), if I raise the revs to target “exactly” 3000rpm, it will slowly rise to 3000. Using my hand I try to hold the accelerator perfectly still, but the revs then climb gradually towards 4000 or more. If I back off, it’s hesitant to slowing, then goes back down rapidly to lower revs than expected. In other words, it’s almost impossible to “sit it on 3000rpm”.
Thoughts? Accelerator position sensor? Turbo issues?
No oil in intake (doesn’t seem to be a blow-by runaway? Or can it be? If it was fuelling from blow by I would expect smoke, oil in intake etc?)…
Only mod is EGR blocked both sides.
Recently had new high pressure fuel pump installed and the injectors cleaned.
Cheers,
Dave

As an update, but not resolution, the issue has slowly abated over time. Learning? The fact I ran cleaner in the fuel? I don’t know…

Update: It didn’t abate completely. Eventually seems to have been due to a transmission issue. One so odd the specialist could not identify it on the transmission they had supplied me and a complete replacement unit was provided…
