Hello All,

Got an XLT year 17. I want to add puddle lamps under the side mirrors. Any possibility to add these?

No problems if you want to wire them back to the BCM. Earlier XLT at least did not have PL wire to side mirror so you will need to running to the whole way on both sides.

Does anything need to be changed in the program for the bcm?
Does the bcm have a input for them or do you tap into some other lighting circuit?

You would just be using the same output from the BCM that goes to the rear roll bar puddle lamps.

Alright. I purchased a Redtek module from AUS. And i saw an unplugged connector with the cable that runs into the side mirror. Is that it?

What Redtek module?

If you mean under the door trim a small 2 pin plug then no that is for LED lighting. Might be easier if you post an image of what you are talking about.

Hello Stewart, The Redtek module is irrelevant in this. (Its a module for automatic Windows on locking and side mirrors as well). What I meant is a 2 pin plug under the tweeter connection. I ordered automatic sidesteps and was wondering if i can use that connection to illuminate the sidesteps on unlocking.

Thanks

Hwy Kavir, I understood the plug you are talking about is part of the vehicle loom and I think I know what it is but a picture of said plug will just make it so much easier to answer the question properly.
