Hey everybody,
I was wondering whether anybody on here had actually pulled apart the transfer case in a new ranger? I would love to know whether it is physically possible to enable low range while still in 2wd. It would be fantastic if it was possible to do even by simply adding an additional switch or something. It would be great for reversing trailers and stuff like that.

I would say no.
If it could be done it would have been done by now. Motor, gearbox combo has been around for 6 odd years now.
Would be nice though. My cruiser had a centre diff lock so it was easy in that.

Yeah that's what I thought too Stuart. I did quickly look into converting the hubs from a courier but it all looked too hard and everything would have been custom and therefore I gave up pretty quickly
