Hi everyone
im in the proccess of fitting px3 headlights into my 2018 fx4 px2
I have installed the drl pins and run them into the headlight plugs.
With ignition on (not started) they do as expected everything normal.
when i start the vehicle they come on then flicker after a few seconds go off with the error code
B124B Left daytime running light -circut short to ground
B124A Right daytime running light -circut short to ground
could this be the drls are drawing to much power or do i need to look into the px2 headlight plug wire order compared to the px3 head light plug?
or should the px3 headlight module be needed.
Any help most appreciated.

Most other outage options should be in non asbuilt BCM.

That worked drls stay on now with out having to use a relay.
Low beam works but still gives an error in bcm module in forscan i have changed the setting for low beam outage to 0 - none if it is ok to leave like this all good.

Yes, you would have to disable headlight outage check. What you have is all good.

Just to confirm the error in forscan for the low beams is ok to ignore?

Looks like i had a fail somewhere
After 15mins with lights on the low beam starts flashing like a strobe light then after a few more minutes they go off and on with flashing in between I had to use the driving lights to get home.
The relays aren't hot the wiring isn't hot.
Had to leave for work won't be back home till next Wednesday.
I'll check the feed for the low beam with a test light when the lights start flashing see if its dropping out and the same for the power out from the relays see if it's dropping out.
The left light starts dropping first then the right light a minute or so later.
Let you know how I go next week.

Low Beam Outage
726-27-02
enabled xxx1-xxxx-xxxx - default
Disabled xxx0-xxxx-xxxx

it is set to xxx0-xxxx-xxxx but the errors still show
would there be any other settings in asbuilt i might try would you know if not all good.

Hi I have put 2021 headlights in my px2 - what is this about the pins you talk about? my DRL work but they are not as bright as others, and my headlights are the latest full led - the inner part closest to the grille wont light up when high beam is on like on a brand new truck they do. any help appreciated

Have made some changes thanks to Stewart and following the other threads on px3 headlights into a px2.

2 hour drive back to work on sunday night will see how things go then.

Headlights all work no error codes
No random flickering with low beam.

Hi I’ve just installed 2020 px3 headlights to my XLT 2016.
The Drl’s work fine but I have no low beam lights only high beam.need advice please.
Also what do the drl pins do once installed?

HIDs will need to be run through relays, you cannot directly connect them. Low beam circuit has probably shut down at this point in time as will need to be reset once you make the required wiring changes.

Installing relays between the low beams and the vehicle harness. If unsure on how to wire these then you would be best speak to an auto electrician.
