Im very keen to see if the input the everest uses for boot open could be used to add sensors to canopy doors if they are open. (In the same wa sit shows that the rear passenger door is opened if you start the car and try to drive.

Possibly yes but keep in mind the rear tailgate uses a seperate module on the canbus. This controls all functions of the rear tailgate, the BCM is then programmed so it knows a RTM is in the vehicle.

Ah so its not a normal input. Damn. Was trying to find a trick way of integrating into the factory system that canopy was open.

Does the bonet open give a visual indicator to the IPC? I know it sets off the alarm.

Maybe i can have the 3 doors and bonnet all trigger the input,

Im putting central locking into the canopy soon. And want to avoid the Driveaway with doors open.

It is a possible solution, I have noticed you saw the other tread on the PX1 so it may work.

Another option would be to wire it from the BCM as per attached image. Either way you can see it grounds when open so is a safe hack with whatever switch you go for.

IPC does have visual indication for the bonnet.

I may add as a project at some point to add an Everest RDM RTGM but it would be a long way down the track.

is the RDM the Rear door module? so this would be canbus controlled and have the input for rear door and the controller for the boot release and electric ram?

where are you getting all these Diagrams showing all the modules? seems to be a very handy resource to have, like having an old haynes manual haha

I have all the wiring diagrams for the PX2. It tooks days to do but when I paid my Motorcraft subscription I was able to print them to PDF. I have yet to do all the connectors as it time and the cost can be outrageous if needed to be done over a few weeks.

oh so you subscribe to fords service manual essentially? and rip as much data then cancel subscription? haha nice work.

looks like my best option is tapping into drivers Door for all 3 canopy doors. then if IPC says drivers door ajar, i can open and close that door, if it still complains i know there is a canopy door open.

i will have central locking hooked up to the fuel lock via two relays, and then the 3 canopy doors wired in series to the Drivers door input on the BCM.

I've had 3 drives up the road with the wing door open, as you cant see if its open or closed from in the cab, and its scary not knowing if anything fell out. i lost a whole tub of parts while doing a u-turn while testing my light bar and had to play 52 pickup.

Kind off. Its 3 days, 21 days and 365 days.

For $30 odd AUD 3 days, does not give much time to print to PDF and what if I go out for a night? 3 days is pretty short.
For $500 odd AUD 30 days. I'm not sitting here for 30 days and I'm not prepared to spend that type of $ in one hit.
For $3500 odd AUD (I think) 365 days. Wtf, I would need another mortgage but it would give me lots of time.

Everyone has to keep in mind the manuals should not be shared. I share a tiny pic now and then but I do not need Ford writing me letters so I keep my paid copyright information to myself.

I will probably have to do another 2 or 3, 3 day subscriptions to get some other information I require at this stage.

I should have the info you need for the correct plug on the BCM so if you need it, PM me.
