Fuse box cover tip

Have broken, lost, misplaced and got fed up with pushing the clips that hold the fuse cover in place. Reason i am opening and closing it is because after reading about old Rangers having a inbuilt receptacle behind the cover, decided to make my own which is handy for nick nacks, placed a piece of braided wire so it hinges down and stops at 90 degrees and keeps clear of your right leg
Obtain some 12mm across flats wire shrink wrap, cut to 25mm, remove of what remains of your retainer clips and place over the male fittings, apply heat ensuring you flatten the protruding ends so they line up with the female slots, viola!
As i use my receptacle daily have applied another piece over existing to further tighten the catch. Enjoy
p.s this should stop Stewart from swearing every time he opens his fuse cover as we can hear him 20 km up the road

Good work.

I resolved the issue, it hasn't been refitted for about 12 months.
