Check Codes

Howdy...

Been having intermittent stuttering when accelerating problems with my PX2 Ranger. Had a few theories on the issue and a couple mechanics take a look over it in the last week, without success. The car has done 125k, full service history - just done a trans service too incase this was the issue.

About 6 months ago, I was talking to a tuner who does remaps. Had a couple codes pop up and thought, hey I'll get the EGR turned off and get them to check the other...

Code: P138B - Glow Plug Control Module System Voltage

Status:
- Previously Set DTC - Not Present at Time of Request
- Malfunction Indicator Lamp is Off for this DTC

Code: P0489 - EGR A Control Circuit Low

Additional Fault Symptom:
- Actuator Stuck

Status:
- DTC Present at Time of Request
- Malfunction Indicator Lamp is On for this DTC

They returned the car saying the EGR was no longer going to be a problem, and the glow plug fault couldn't be replicated. However, I'm starting to wonder if they have just turned the code off from showing, and this is the cause of my ranger stuttering?

Is there a way to check this with forscan?

There are no codes showing anymore, and my mechanic at ultratune has checked injectors, fuel lines and cannot find anything physically wrong with the car that would be causing this.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

No.

The price you paid may determine whether the EGR was removed properly.

You could monitor the EGR PIDS in Forscan and see what the EGR is doing, this would give you insight into if it has been turned off or not.
