Will check but it may be the same as the glow plug telltale too.
If the glow plugs do not need to preheat then the telltale will not display when the ignition is turned to on.
Without knowing what asbuilt have been changed from stock in the other vehicle it would be an unknown. Possibly it has dual battery mode enabled, atkinscd?
Low pressure may also extinguish after a preset time. I have it come up initially then extinguish from memory. Most of these telltales can also be enabled or disabled so wrong changes can affect these things. Changing one character can effect 3 to 7 features so people that play could also unknowingly turn a telltale light off. That could cause a few dramas if you could not see an error

Yes, I have dual battery mode enabled. The photo was taken when ignition was on, but the engine off.
Hope that helps.
Cheers

The earlier forum glitch means my post is out of order (it's appearing before the question was even asked) so I'll mention it again. I had that battery indicator even when set to single battery so it's not caused by enabling dual battery mode.

I have just made the change to the Fuel menu - looks great and much more useful.
BTW, my telltales were all working.

Yes I am Stewart, I have a DC-DC charger and a second battery in the tub.

I may have to try it and confirm if turning on dual battery mode make the battery telltale come on. It makes sense, thanks for the confirmation.

Maybe I'm dreaming, but after making this change, as well as the correction to silent mode, I reckon my small screen climate menu has changed. I haven't reverted back to check, but it now shows both the temp and fan speed on the one screen - you just toggle between them to adjust either one. Whereas before, I'm almost certain that the temp and fan speed were on two separate pages/screens?
Has anyone noticed this or am I confused...

You are working way too hard on that house Gerry. Get some sleep mate, it has always been like that.
Also change your language back to English Australia as it reverts to US after a reprogram.

Yes mate, changed to Aussie and also 12 hour clock. Are you sure? I'm gonna have to check that out next time I'm playing with the car...
Ah yes, the house... went to the big green hammer shop today, so the ToDo List has grown again.

After reading this I put my 2016 Everest into Engineering mode to check out the telltales.
No battery or oil pressure lights at all.
I assume this is just how it is, however I haven't checked the manual.

FWIW my climate screen has always been temp and fan speed on the same screen. Left and right arrow between them, up and down arrow to change.

Hi,
Batt and oil press icons were not really part of any telltale lights in the ranger/everest or any Ford dual 4" screen IPC's for that matter.
It will show on the 4" screen IPC display, and should light up near door ajar icon at same screen where your tachometer is located(left hand or right hand screen, depending on driver's seat location.)
On what I've noticed, others have battery and oil press. icon lit up at "Key ON and Engine OFF" just like any other cars on the road should. That's a way to check that your batt and oil sensors and warning lights are working before you hit the road.
As mentioned, my everest doesn't do it amd same with Stewart as I've noticed from this posts. I just hope it lit up on the right time!
Cheers!

I have read the FAQ. When I update 720-04-01 repalcing the 2 with a 3 and save I get the CRC popup warning and continue to save. I then get a error relating to internal system consistency error. I have two DTC errors which I reset but then the value returns to 2.
I read that there are a few permutations of this setting. I have a RWD Trend and am using a USB ELM327 with MT/HT switch

There are 4 features in block 720-04-01 *xxx-xxx-xx and only 2 are of any use. Forward Collision Warning Menu and the other is the new Economy Gauge. In this position from factory it would only ever be a 0 or a 2 for an Everest or a Ranger at least with our current model Firmware. If you know f others let me know so I can have a look.
As of this point it has worked for everyone else so maybe it's your adaptor. Have you made any other IPC changes successfully? PM me your VIN so I can check your firmware revision against others.
I would grab one of the ELS27 adaptors off Aliexpress and use that over what you have. For $30 shipped its a sure bet and they work perfect and no switches.

I have the battery icon but not the oil pressure one, but I don't remember if it was there before doing the changes. Anyone found out what causes it to disappear? I think it is a pretty important warning light not to know if it is working.

Oil pressure light up the top when on when key turned.
Battery I have never seen it with any change I have made. I'm thinking it's related to dual battery but I enabled and still did not have it.
When Forscan releases my updates just default your IPC then write the new changes the easy way. It will make sure you have not accidentally changed something else.
Backup before you default and once you write all the new changes check for the battery and oil. If something is different then send me the backup which is how it is now and then the after ab. I want to see if it is in the IPC is monitoring locally or sent from somewhere else. Thinking it could have been a manual related issues and to do with stop start but you have an auto unless you changed something that shouldn't be changed.

I've always had the battery, even with single battery mode. It's probably related to the current voltage/charge level.

I have the battery icon and have not enables dual battery, I'm 99% I've always had it.
I will reload all the backups with factory configurations in the next couple of days, and let you know the outcome and send pre/post modification files.

How about oil pressure icon? Do you have it beside the battery icon?

I'm certain I've seen the oil icon on occasion but certainly not all the time like the battery.

The only information I can find in the training manual is;
Battery warning lamp.
Nothing more, nothing less. So if vehicle is less than 12 months old then "Warrenty Ford".
I will move all the unrelated to fuel economy gauge, battery and oil light posts sometime on the weekend to a new thread.

As above and Ford can not do these changes for you. So another option is if you have a laptop or know someone that does is to install Forscan with extended license and buy the black OBDlink dongle then as long as you have internet via wifi then I can make the changes for you.
Its an option. I have done a few this way now.
