HI all, I had an interesting observation of my ranger over the long weekend wondering if any one else has had the same issue.
I have turned off double honk, as exiting the vehicle with while it is still running is a regular occurrence and it honking every time was killing me. I am guessing this turned off the double honk for a mislock also (attempting to lock with a door open). I am not sure if it is possible to only turn the double honk off for the engine running but not the mislock?
What I saw was that if you try the lock the ute and a front door open, the system can obviously tell as you hear the lock unlock itself again, so even without the double honk you can tell it hasn't locked. But if you leave a back door open, it will lock the ute and it doesn't seem to know a door is open. Ie alarm is fully armed, door are locked but a back door is still ajar. Hence all the internal lights and everything stay on also.
Anyone else had this?

Have you reversed it to see what exactly it is doing in all those situations so you can compare?

Mine never honked leaving vehicle running, but does on a mis lock, even when back door is ajar.
